This years CABIN FEVER RELIEVER exceeded my expectations, The people, the food, the Senator Inn and their Staff and the RIDIN' STEEL Production Crew were all top notch!!! I got to see so many that I have rode with in the past few years and some new faces as well. The generosity of the vendors from BIG MOOSE HARLEY, NORTH COUNTRY HARLEY, L-A HARLEY DAVIDSON, NAPLES CUSTOM MOTORSPORTS, YOUNGS BODY & BIKES and THE IRON HEARST CO., THE HARASSEEKET INN was outstanding in their donations to the Raffle Items and to the Auction.
Several Talented Artist designed and donated special RIDIN' STEEL "one of kind" items for the Event and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their vision and support. I really wanted to keep all these items for myself, but I guess that would'nt have been fair.
Thank you Jessica Wooding for the etched RIDIN' STEEL Mirror and to Dan & Holly Libby of Hour Glass for donating the Mirror for her to create this magnificent piece, which will be proudly displayed at NAPLES CUSTOM MOTORSPORTS.
Thank you Rik Belanger for your unique RIDIN' STEEL Shield. I've said it before and I'll say it again ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and symbolic of all we're about.
Thank you Terri Mason for your Coat Rack and Hand Painted rendition of the CABIN FEVER RELIEVER. Liked it so much, had to get one for myself.
And a special Thank you to Matt Young for his Sporty Tank Piggy Bank, that he not only donated for the Auction, but also made one especially for me. I also want to thank you and Dave Williams for the great job on my bike, your a thoughtful person and a great friend.
Special recognition goes to Pam Payeur of the WOUNDED HEROES PROGRAM of MAINE,
Her Team and those they help will always have RIDIN' STEEL's support and I will continue to keep coming up with ways to generate funding for your young men & women that have served our country.
I would like to add that it was really nice to see the RIDIN' STEEL Crew have an opportunity to pretty much run the event on their own. They've really come a long ways and now their beginning to tell me to stay out of it and let them do the work. None of these folks are paid! so it was good to be able to pamper them a little, thanks to General Manager of the Senator Inn Roger Bintliff. He provided us with special rates and accomodations to the Executive Suites, in which everyone enjoyed.I owe my introduction to Roger to Mike Maney of NAKED LEATHER, so thanks Mike, hope you can make it next year!!! Sponsors for the show, help to pay for the Broadcast Fees, but not all. Although RIDIN' STEEL is a for profit venture, I can assure you that I don't see myself quitting my day job soon. The CABIN FEVER RELIEVER is there for the Charity Ride Organizers and any proceeds made at the door, raffles or Auction was handed over to Pam Payeur for her WOUNDED HEROES PROGRAM. I'm very grateful for all of you that attended this event and I can't wait for wwhen the warmer weather arrives and we're "RIDIN' FOR A CAUSE".
Soon all the information gathered on upcoming Charity Rides will be posted on our Calender Page and I will be e-mail blasting the RIDIN' STEEL site Members with the information as the weekend of your ride arrives.
Respectfully
Stephen Marois/Producer
