On Sunday July 17th.
More details have been added.
On Sunday July 17th.RIDIN' STEEL is looking for riders from all over Maine and New Hampshire to participate in a special videoshoot to help us create our new opener for our show. This is NOT a fundraiser for charity. The concept is to have groups representing all areas of Maine and New Hampshire gather in a show of unity. Our newest sponsor the Taste of Maine Restaurant located on route 1 in Woolwich,Maine will be the starting point. Once we see how many riders are participating, we will break them up in groups and designate various areas where they are to take off ahead of the lead group and await our arrival. Once everyone is in place, The lead group will depart from theTaste of Maine and as we ride by the established areas, the awaiting groups will join the lead group and so on.... This will give the impression to the viewers as to how Charity Riders are growing in numbers and that "BIKERS RIDIN' FOR A CAUSE" are throughout our States riding for the purpose of humanitarian aid. We will be heading south onRoute 1. This will allow for cameras to be designated on overpasses along the route to capture streams of riders joining the Lead Group. In the editing room, I wil create opening credits depicting the various areas of our States participating. Bike Cams will be designated to ride alongside the groups to capture the action from the road. We will proceed to go for a ride that will be approximately 1 1/2 hours. The route will lead us back to the Taste of Maine, where food, refreshments and music will be waiting for us. This ride will also be filmed for an upcoming episode of RIDIN' STEEL. Our Host will be interviewing Ride Organizers and the riders themselves in hopes of sharing with the viewer, why Motorcyclist ride and why the so many different causes are so important to them.
I would like for everyone to arrive at the Taste of Maine Restaurant by Noon with a 1pm departure. we'll ride for about an hour, insuring I get plenty of ride footage. If your part of a riding club, then by all means bring as many with you as possible. Group Leaders will sign in the name of the organization and/or the area of the State they represent. The TASTE OF MAINE has opened 2 Banquet Rooms for us and have prepared a Delicious Meal for only $8.00. This is the only cost of the entire Event. We just wanted to have a day where we all celebrate the hard work of Organizers and of course those of you that support them. The band will be 'Mild Uproar' You may recognize some of them from the days when 'Northern Pride' were together. In addition a DJ will be providing music in the Banquet Room downstairs as well, so it's looking like a great time is in store.
Stay posted, I'll be sharing more as details as they are ironed out.
