Welcome to Ridin' Steel

Be sure to check with us often, as we update daily.

Stephen (Steve) Marois

Producer

Marois, media programmer at Bath Community Television, produces the show through his independent company Reality Productions. He recruited well-known local motorcyclist Stoney Dionne and Mrs. Maine 2008, Kristin Walton, to co-host the program, which he said focuses on charity motorcycle runs that raise money for good causes.

"I went out there and wanted to film the lobster run, because I wanted to get connected again with bikers," said Marois. "It is my intention to bring awareness to the many Charitable Causes that bikers are organizing to help others. The Biker is truly the epitome of FREEDOM in our Country, and is often stereotyped as radical or rebellious. The truth is that they are people who work hard for a living and could be a Lawyer, Politician, Mechanic, Farmer and the list goes on. In many conversations I've had, We all share the same sense of freedom when we ride. It's relaxing and peaceful, if only for a short time but very much needed.

Eric "Pony" Dionne

We would like to welcome Pony to Ridin' Steel.

Pony has offered to assist us here at RIDIN' STEEL. This could be from hosting a show to leading a ride. " I respect what RIDIN' STEEL is attempting to do and want to be part of it". He loves to ride and enjoys meeting people. Along with his Uncles Dick & Bob Dionne, STONEY'S LOBSTER RUN will go on each year and continue to help children inflicted with the disease of cancer. We will also help the many other Charity Runs that are reaching out to help others that are in need.

Amy is a full time mother, college student, and dedicated RIDIN’ STEEL advocate. She is the force behind creating, organizing, posting, and updating our websites. As well as assisting in any way she can with the various other tasks needed to keep RIDIN’ STEEL running smooth.

She believes that the mission of RIDIN’ STEEL is an important one, as so many people are blinded by their misconceptions of the Motorcycle community and the Biker lifestyle that the message needs to get out that these are people from all walks of life sharing a love of motorcycles and the open road all while raising money and awareness for wonderful and very much needed programs. Such as Children’s Cancer, Mental Health Awareness, Money and Awareness for our men and women fighting over seas for our freedom as well as the families they leave behind, Members of the community that have been injured or hit by hard times and just need a helping hand, and the list goes on and on!!!

Amy is extremely proud  to be a part of RIDIN’ STEEL and feel honored to have met so many wonderful and amazing people along the way! Not to mention her new found love for riding!

John “Stoney” Dionne

Host

(Our good friend and host passed away on 8/22/09 after a brave battle with lung cancer. He will be missed by all who knew him)

Founder of “Stoney’s Lobster run” which is entering its 29th year this August say’s about Ridin’ Steel:

This (show) shines a light on what the motorcycle community is doing in Maine," said Dionne, whose Signature "Stoney's Lobster Run" has become a torch bearer charity ride over its 29 years in existence. "Our season is so short that almost every weekend there's a run going on, and usually they're held to benefit somebody. And we're going to try and reach every run we can."

Stoney's Lobster Run, for one, combined with the Elks Foundation to raise $30,000 last year (2008) for children's cancer programs, the near legendary Stoney's Lobster Run, which has been featured in Easy Rider magazine and once attracted the participation of the late Forbes magazine publisher Malcolm Forbes is just one of many rides that have been featured on Ridin’ Steel.
